MovieSlate is crashing and support asked me for a crash report. How do I find the diagnostic log and send it to PureBlend?

A crash report (Apple calls it an Analytics Data log) tells us exactly what failed, so it's the fastest way for us to help. Here's how to find and send it.
First, don't delete the app yet. Deleting and reinstalling MovieSlate removes any logging data you haven't backed up. If the app will open at all, go to Settings > MovieSlate Cloud, sign in if needed, and tap Backup before doing anything else.

Find and email the crash report

  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Go to Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data.
  3. Tap the search box at the top-right and type MovieS to filter the list to MovieSlate's reports.
  4. Tap the most recent report (it should be from the last time the app crashed).
  5. Tap the action / share button in the upper-right corner, then tap Mail.
  6. Send it to MovieSlate@PureBlendSoftware.com.

It also helps to tell us your iPadOS/iOS version (Settings > General > About) and exactly how soon the app crashes after launch (immediately, after a few seconds, or after a few minutes). With the crash report in hand we can usually identify the cause and advise on the next step.
