My MovieSlate XML report isn't syncing into Silverstack, and I'm also seeing duplicate XML files. I haven't made any configuration changes — what could have caused this?

XML sync issues between MovieSlate and Silverstack are usually caused by one of the following:
Step 1 — Restart Silverstack
Force-close Silverstack on your Mac and reopen it, then try importing the XML again. Silverstack occasionally needs a restart to pick up newly generated files.
Step 2 — Check app versions
Make sure both MovieSlate and Silverstack are updated to their latest versions. An XML format mismatch between versions can cause import failures or partial data. Check MovieSlate's version in the Help tab.
Step 3 — Verify the XML file itself

  • In MovieSlate, regenerate a fresh XML report and try importing the newly generated file.
  • If duplicates are appearing, check whether you have multiple reports generated from the same project — MovieSlate may have created separate XML files for each export.

Step 4 — Send us the XML for inspection
If the issue persists, email the XML file to MovieSlate@pureblendsoftware.com. Include your MovieSlate version (from the Help tab) and the version of Silverstack you are using. We can inspect the XML to identify any formatting issues.
