MovieSlate was working fine, but now my tabs are gone and I can't log in or access my project. Did I lose my data?

Your data is safe. This typically happens during or immediately after a MovieSlate Cloud service outage. The app was unable to verify your subscription or purchases while offline, so it fell back to a limited state.
To recover:

  1. Restart your iPad. Make sure it has an active internet connection before reopening MovieSlate.
  2. Reopen MovieSlate. Give the app a moment to reconnect to the server. Your tabs and data should reappear automatically.
  3. If tabs are still missing after reconnecting: Tap Settings > MovieSlate Store and tap the blue Restore button to re-verify your purchases with Apple's servers.

If you see a message like "an updated version can be found on null," this is also a symptom of a server connectivity issue and will resolve once service is restored.
