MovieSlate lets me tap Send but my report emails never arrive. What should I check?

If MovieSlate appears to send a report but it never arrives, the most common causes are a misconfigured outgoing mail server or a Gmail restriction on attachments.
Check your outgoing mail server:

  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Go to Apps > Mail > Mail Accounts.
  3. Tap the mail account you're using, then tap Account Settings > Outgoing Mail Server.
  4. Make sure a Primary Server is set and toggled on.

Gmail users: Gmail explicitly blocks sending password-protected zip file attachments. If you have zip compression with a password enabled in MovieSlate's export settings, disable it and try again.
If the issue persists, try force-closing Mail and MovieSlate, then send the report again.
