Frequently Asked Question

Several years ago I bought MovieSlate and a timecode sync plug-in for over $100. Is there any way to get that app back without paying again?
It sounds like you purchased MovieSlate 7, the older paid app that was removed from sale when MovieSlate 8 was introduced. You can re-download MovieSlate 7 at no additional cost, but there are two requirements: - The Apple ID you originally purchased it with. Re-downloads and past purchases are tied to that Apple ID / iTunes account. If you no longer have access to that account, you'll need to contact Apple's App Store support (support.apple.com/contact) to regain access — we have no way to move a purchase between accounts.
- A device that can run it. MovieSlate 7 is a 32-bit app, and Apple dropped support for 32-bit apps when iOS 11 shipped in 2017. You'll need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 7, 8, 9, or 10. We'd suggest iOS 9 or 10 if you have the choice, since Apple made significant performance improvements starting in iOS 9.
To download it, sign in to the App Store with the original Apple ID, go to your account's Purchased list, and download MovieSlate 7 from your purchase history. Your previously purchased plug-ins are tied to the same account. Keep in mind MovieSlate 7 is no longer updated. For current devices and ongoing support, MovieSlate 8 is the actively maintained version. |
