The Sound tab vanished from the bottom of MovieSlate mid-shoot, and the Sound Dept plugin now shows as available for purchase again in the in-app Store. I can no longer log takes or send a Sound Report. How do I get it back without paying a second time?

Don't repurchase — this is almost always a temporary purchase-receipt hiccup, not a lost purchase. Your Sound Dept plugin is still tied to your Apple ID, and a quick Restore Purchases brings the Sound tab and all Sound Report functionality back.
To restore:

1. Make sure the iPad is signed into the same Apple ID that originally bought the Sound Dept plugin (check iOS Settings at the top).
2. In MovieSlate, tap Settings > MovieSlate Store.
3. In the Restore Purchases section at the top, tap the blue Restore button.
4. Apple's receipt servers re-enable the purchase, and the Sound tab should reappear along the bottom of the app.
