Ever since the latest iPadOS update, the Script Dept tab keeps disappearing from MovieSlate. I've done Restore Purchases and it comes back, but it disappears again the next time I open the app. How do I fix this permanently?

This is a known compatibility issue that occurred after the iPadOS 26 update. The root cause was a bug in how MovieSlate stored subscription state after the OS update — not a problem with your purchase. The fix is to update MovieSlate to the latest version:

  1. Open the App Store and update MovieSlate to the latest available version (8.9.54 or newer).
  2. Restart your iPad after the update finishes.
  3. Open MovieSlate, go to Settings > MovieSlate Store, and tap Restore Purchases one final time.

After this one-time Restore Purchases step on the updated version, MovieSlate will correctly remember your Script Dept subscription and the tab will remain visible permanently. You should not need to restore purchases again after each app launch.
