When lining my script in Script Dept, is there a way to tell MovieSlate to automatically draw a straight line versus a squiggly (dialogue) line for a specific character?

No, MovieSlate doesn't automatically assign a straight versus squiggly line to a particular character. Lining is drawn by hand on the page.
The fastest workflow in this situation is usually:

1. Draw the straight line down the page for the section you're lining.
2. Use the eraser and pen tools to add the squiggles directly on that line wherever the dialogue is being covered.
