Frequently Asked Question Posted 06/11/2026

I copied an annotation and pasted it onto a script page, but it doesn't appear. When I tap where it should be I can see its selection outline, yet the annotation itself stays invisible. How do I fix it?

This can happen when you copy and paste an annotation onto a large, densely-lined script PDF. It's generally a display/memory issue rather than lost data — the annotation is there, it's just not drawing.
To make it reappear:

  1. Tap on the page in the spot where you know the pasted annotation should be. Even though the mark is invisible, you'll see its selection outline, which confirms the annotation is present.
  2. Tap it again to bring up the context menu, then tap Inspector.
  3. In the Inspector, adjust the Opacity slider. The annotation will typically snap into view as you move it — slide Opacity back up to full so it stays clearly visible.

Leaving the page and returning helps the document re-save in its corrected state. If a particular script PDF reproduces this every time, send us a copy of just the affected page via a support backup so we can investigate the underlying cause with the PDF engine.
