Out of nowhere I got an "unapproved purchase" message and all my feature tabs disappeared — only Settings and Help remain. My payment is fine. What do I do?

This is a known App Store/StoreKit authentication hiccup that occasionally affects in-app subscriptions and purchases. Your payment is not the issue — the app simply lost the ability to verify your purchase in that session. Running Restore Purchases a second time almost always resolves it immediately.

Steps to Restore

  1. Open MovieSlate and tap Settings (the gear icon in the tab bar).
  2. Scroll down to MovieSlate Store and tap it.
  3. Tap the blue Restore button.
  4. Wait a moment — you should see a Purchase Activated confirmation.
  5. Your feature tabs (Script Dept, Sound Dept, etc.) should reappear at the bottom of the screen.

If the tabs do not reappear after the first restore attempt, force-close MovieSlate, reopen it, and run Restore Purchases once more.
If the problem persists, make sure your device is signed into the correct Apple ID — the one used to originally purchase or subscribe to the Pro Features.
