Can MovieSlate sync with or control Sound Devices MixPre recorders for metadata transfer or transport control?

MovieSlate does not support direct metadata transfer or transport control with Sound Devices MixPre recorders, and there are no current plans to add that support.

However, MovieSlate's Pro Features subscription supports LTC timecode sync with any recorder that has a timecode output (TC OUT), including MixPre models. Connect a cable from your recorder's TC OUT to the iPad's microphone input and MovieSlate will read the LTC signal for automatic start/stop logging via RecRun.

For recorders that support RecRun timecode operation, MovieSlate can automatically start and stop take logging in sync with the recorder's record state. Go to Settings > Timecode + Sync to configure this.

Note: The Timecode Systems Wave hub and its companion Sound Devices recorders (688, 664, 663) are legacy devices. MovieSlate continues to support them for existing users, but no additional Sound Devices models are planned.
