Does MovieSlate support exports or reports that are compatible with DaVinci Resolve?
Yes, MovieSlate can export data that DaVinci Resolve can import. There are several workflow options: - Final Cut Pro 7 XML (direct export): MovieSlate can export FCP7 XML files directly. DaVinci Resolve can import FCP7 XML, making this the simplest path.
- Final Cut Pro X XML via KeyClips (Mac workflow): If you use a Mac-based post workflow, you can use MovieSlate's KeyClips Mac app to match your logging data with FCPX media assets. You can then export an FCPX XML from Final Cut Pro X and import that into Resolve.
- Pomfort Silverstack: Pomfort Silverstack can import MovieSlate XML files for media matching, after which clips can be moved into your Resolve project.
For the most straightforward approach, use the FCP7 XML export — it requires no additional software and is directly importable into Resolve. |
