The Show Lap Note Editor setting controls what happens when you tap the LAP button on the Stopwatch.

Enabled: Tapping LAP opens the Lap Note Editor, ready for you to enter a note for that lap.
Disabled: Tapping LAP quietly logs the lap without displaying the Note Editor.

This setting is found under Stopwatch Options in MovieSlate settings.
