MovieSlate won't launch and I need to delete and reinstall it. How do I back up my logging data so I don't lose everything?

There are two ways to back up MovieSlate's data before deleting the app:

Option 1: MovieSlate Cloud Backup (Recommended)


If MovieSlate opens at all, even briefly: tap Settings > MovieSlate Cloud > Backup. MovieSlate Cloud is free and stores your project data online. After reinstalling, sign into the same MovieSlate Cloud account to restore your data.

Option 2: iCloud Device Backup


If MovieSlate won't open, use an iCloud Backup:
  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Tap your name > iCloud > iCloud Backup.
  3. Tap Back Up Now and wait for it to complete.

Critical: Do not delete MovieSlate before making the iCloud backup. When you delete an app, iOS removes its local data from the device and it will not be included in any subsequent backup. Always back up first, then delete.
After reinstalling MovieSlate, tap Settings > MovieSlate Store > Restore to reactivate your Pro Features or subscriptions.
