How do I cancel my subscription?

There are two ways you can cancel your paid subscription:

(1) FROM YOUR iOS DEVICE:

Open the "App Store" app.

Tap on your Apple ID. On newer versions of iOS, tap the round button in the upper right corner of the screen (which contains your picture or initials). On older versions of iOS, scroll to the bottom and tap your Apple ID. In either case, you may need to sign-in if you're not already signed in.

On the Account Settings screen tap "Manage Subscriptions" (or on older iOS versions: tap "Manage" in the Subscriptions section). Then tap on the MovieSlate Cloud subscription, then turn off the "Auto-Renewal".

(2) FROM iTUNES ON YOUR PC OR MAC:

Open the "iTunes" app.

Click on "Store", then click "Account". In the Settings > Subscriptions section click the "Manage" link.

Click the MovieSlate Cloud subscription, then in the "Auto-Renewal" section: click the "Off" button.

ABOUT CANCELLATIONS

Be aware that iTunes charges a renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current subscription period. That means that if you turn off auto-renew after that 24 hour period you may still be charged for the next subscription period, which is 1 month.

Also note that there are no cancellations after your account has been charged for the current period. That means if you cancel two weeks into your monthly subscription period you will still have access to the features of your subscription until the expiration/renewal date. Apple iTunes does not give pro-rated refunds for in-app subscriptions.

After you've canceled your subscription your account will downgrade from MovieSlate Cloud Level 1 or Pro Features to MovieSlate Cloud: Essentials (a free account). If you want to also close that account please contact us by clicking the "Support" menu item at the top of the page and then clicking "Contact Us". Please note that app developers have no control over the subscriptions so we can not cancel a subscription for you, you must use one of the methods above to end your auto-renewing subscription with iTunes.

MovieSlate In-App Subscriptions

MovieSlate 7 Cloud (Discontinued) paid subscriptions (an “in-app purchase”, made within the MovieSlate 7 app) are an optional monthly subscription service that provides users of the MovieSlate 7 app certain cloud features such as expanded online MovieSlate data backup and MovieSlate settings sharing. The price of the Level 1 subscription is 9.99 USD per month.

MovieSlate 8 Pro Features paid subscriptions or one-time purchases (an “in-app purchase”, made within the MovieSlate 8 app) are an optional monthly subscription service that provides users of the MovieSlate 8 app with a variety of professional-level features such as LTC timecode syncing, Sound Department features, MultiCam logging, Sync with certain professional video cameras, KeyClips keyword-based logging, and certain cloud features such as expanded online MovieSlate data backup and MovieSlate settings sharing through MovieSlateCloud. The price of the Pro Features subscription is 9.99 USD per month. The price of the one-time purchase option is 299.99 USD and lasts for the available life of the MovieSlate 8 app.

MovieSlate 8 Script Dept paid subscriptions (an “in-app purchase”, made within the MovieSlate 8 app) is an optional monthly subscription service that provides Script Supervisors with an advanced system to manage PDF script pages, line and mark scripts, take notes, log data, and generate PDF reports. The Script Dept subscription also includes all of the features of the Pro Features subscription such as LTC sync, Sound Dept, Multicam, Camera Sync, KeyClips keyword-based logging, and MovieSlate Cloud Pro. The price of the Script Dept subscription is 24.99 USD per month.

When you purchase a MovieSlate subscription from the MovieSlate app your iTunes Account will be charged upon purchase confirmation. The subscription automatically renews on a monthly basis unless you set auto-renew to be turned off in your iTunes Account at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your iTunes Account is charged for a renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.

You can manage your subscription by signing into iTunes and navigating to the Account Settings section after purchase. MovieSlate 8 users can also manage their subscriptions by tapping the "Manage" button in MovieSlate 8’s In-App Store (located in the Settings tab). Once billed, the App Store offers no cancellations for the current subscription period. (Meaning there are no subscription refunds— if you cancel your subscription, the service benefits will be available to you until the end of your current subscription period.)
